Luxury winery and beautifully situated agriturismo near Pisa
The approach road to the agriturismo is one of the nicest I’ve ever seen! Once you drive through the gate, you'll find yourself surrounded by cypress trees and vineyards. I visited the agriturismo on a sunny day in early spring and had a wonderful view. I was warmly welcomed by the host and given an extensive tour of the property and the apartments.
The agriturismo is a prestigious winery and has 30 acres of vineyards, a stately villa and two independent cottages. Here you will have a holiday surrounded by nature on an active wine farm (so sometimes tractors may pass by working the vineyards). On request it is possible to have a tour of the vineyards and they also organize wine tastings. It's possible to participate in many activities: you can rent mountain-bikes (children’s bikes are for free), the property is perfect for jogging, there is a small lake for fishing and you can attend a cooking class. There are also special cooking classes for children. You can join yoga classes and have a massage, and there is a sauna that you can use free of charge (all activities are available on request and can be booked on site). You can also just relax: in the garden there’s a beautiful swimming pool with sunbeds and from the shared terrace of the villa you have stunning views. If you are here in September and October you can join the vendemmia (grape harvest) , a great experience!
It is possible to get breakfast and this will be served in your apartment or on request on the large shared terrace. In July and August, given sufficient interest, they organize a barbecue evening once a week.
The agriturismo is centrally located. Cities like Florence, Volterra and Siena are reachable by car within an hour. Pisa, Livorno and the seaside are only half an hour’s drive.
The apartments
The agriturismo has 10 apartments (for 2 to 6 persons) divided between the villa and the two independent cottages. The apartments are comfortable and tastefully furnished and have air-conditioning, satellite TV and a DVD player. Some apartments have a dishwasher. There is wifi on the property.
