A true paradise in the Tuscan hills near Siena

This agriturismo is one of the first I ever discovered for my Tuscany selection . At the time, I immediately fell for its beautiful location in the Tuscan hills. But it has recently had a new owner who has turned it into a true paradise. He has been involved in the hospitality business all his life, and also owns one of the best restaurants in Siena. It's in the Piazza del Campo and is loved by both locals and tourists.

Authenticity and comfort

Thanks to his many years of experience, the owner knows better than anyone what guests find important and he has used this experience in his renovation of the agriturismo. The farmhouse has been left in its original state, using the original materials, but they have modernized all the apartments in a tasteful way. The perfect combination of authentic Tuscan and contemporary interiors and comfort. He and his wife also live here.

Perfect for beautiful cycling tours

The agriturismo is peacefully located among wheat fields, about 20 km south of Siena. To get there you have to drive a few kilometres along a well-maintained dirt road. This road is famous as the setting of the important annual cycling race, Strade Bianche. The Eroica cycling tour is also held here every year, when people ride vintage racing bikes through the Tuscan hills. So there is a lot of cycling in the area and I can heartily recommend it. There is a rental company only 7km away, and they also hire out e-bikes. Perfect for longer trips through the hills.

Near to a lovely restaurant

The agriturismo is small and spacious. So there is enough room and privacy for everyone. There is a large lawn for the children to play on and a pool with sun loungers and parasols with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
Just a 5 minute drive from the agriturismo, on a quiet road, is my favorite restaurant/bar in this part of Tuscany. I come here for my cappuccino, or for an aperitivo at the end of the afternoon and I often go there for lunch. You can also go there for breakfast, a drink or ice cream and in the evening they also serve dishes such as pasta, bruschette, salads, meat dishes and burgers. They have a limited menu, but there is always plenty of choice. The terrace is always open and even in winter you can sit behind the glass in the sun.

6 luxury apartments

There are 6 luxury apartments, all completely renovated and tastefully furnished. Each apartment has its own sitting area in the garden or a terrace with table and chairs. The apartments have Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a well-equipped kitchen with oven or microwave and an Illy coffee machine. Some apartments also have a dishwasher and/or washing machine. There is also a shared washing machine.

Panoramic environment near charming towns

Marco and his wife have turned this beautiful farm into a true paradise. The ideal location for those who love panoramic views, but also want to be close to the famous Tuscan towns, such as Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino and San Gimignano. It takes about an hour to reach the coast with its beautiful sandy beaches and in 90 minutes you are in the centre of Florence.
