Agriturismo with comfortable apartments and very welcoming owners

In recent years I have visited many agriturismos and I am always warmly received. But I do not recall ever being so heartily welcomed as in this agriturismo! Coffee with “la nonna’s” (grandma’s) homemade cake and later wine with local cheese. That bodes well.

The agriturismo is located about 7 km from the village of Cagli and consists of three farmhouses spread over quite a large area. The owners live in one of the farmhouses, where the restaurant is too. In the other two farmhouses are a total of 6 large apartments. Each house has its ownswimming pool. The agriturismo is peacefully situated and you have a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and mountains.

The apartments

There are six comfortable apartments of different sizes. Each apartment has satellite TV, DVD and CD player, WIFI, microwave, dishwasher and a hairdryer. The larger apartments also have a washing machine. Furthermore, the apartments have a private terrace with table and chairs and 4 apartments also have a private outdoor sofa on the covered veranda. Finally, these 4 apartments have a modern wood stove to ensure a comfortable stay in the spring and autumn too.

Swimming pool, restaurant and stables

The agriturismo has two pools, one for each farmhouse. There is also a riding centre and horseback excursions can be made. There is a restaurant where, in summer, owner Cesare cooks dinner once or twice a week with their own organic produce. They also organise honey and wine tastings. 

The agriturismo is situated in a quiet rural location on the borders of Umbria and Le Marche and you have great views of the surrounding hills and mountains. A mostly undiscovered part of Le Marche, still not overrun by mass tourism. Beautiful old towns like Urbino and Gubbio can be reached in 45 minutes but also Arezzo, Assisi, Loreto and Spoleto are not far (about 2 hours drive through the hills). Be sure to visit the famous caves of Frasassi, a 45-minute drive from the agriturismo. The beach at Fano is about an hour away.

In short

With its beautiful setting and the proximity of the charming towns of Le Marche, and the absence of mass tourism, but also because of the comfortable apartments, the favorable price and the great hospitality of the owners, I can wholeheartedly recommend this agriturismo!
